Women’s Philanthropy

The Pomegranate Society

Plant for the future.

Overview

The Pomegranate Society recognizes women who give between $1,800 and $4,999 to Milwaukee Jewish Federation’s Annual Campaign. The pomegranate has been a meaningful symbol in Jewish life since biblical times, traditionally said to contain 613 seeds that represent the mitzvot in the Torah. Members of the Pomegranate Society nurture, sustain, and plant seeds for the future of our community. Donors at this level may choose to purchase a silver Pomegranate pin to mark their commitment.

Like the pomegranate tree, steady, fruitful, and sustaining, our Pomegranates ground our work. They are often a consistent presence on committees and deeply engaged in hands-on social action initiatives.
