Wisconsin Jewish Security Network

Nonprofit Security Grant Program

Overview

Each year MJF and WJSN assists Jewish organizations across the state in applying for federal security grants. Since 2018, we have helped 46 institutions throughout Wisconsin secure $8,359,017 in funding. This influx of funding complements these organizations’ reliance on philanthropic dollars.

Use this document as a reference when preparing applications for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP).

This document outlines funding opportunities and application processes to ensure they are clear and transparent, and that they do not create confusion or contain undue complexity.

FY 2024 NSGP allowable costs are focused on security-related activities. Funding can be used for contracted security personnel; security-related planning, exercises, and training; and the acquisition and installation of security equipment (including improvements) on real property (including buildings) owned or leased by the nonprofit organization at the time of application.

As part of the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) application, eligible 501(c)(3) organizations must develop a formal Investment Justification (IJ) that addresses each initiative proposed for funding.

Use this Letter of Support template to supplement your application when applying for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program.

This form is required for all NSGP grants. No funds can be spent on your grant until this form is completed and approved.
